What a valid notice must contain

Send your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work (or a representative list); identification and location of the allegedly infringing material sufficient for us to find it; your address, telephone number and email; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or law; and a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are authorized to act for the copyright owner. Knowingly false claims may create liability.

Counter-notices

If your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a physical or electronic signature; identification of the removed material and its former location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe removal resulted from mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and telephone number. Include consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, a district where the service provider may be found), and agreement to accept service of process from the claimant or their agent.

We may forward your counter-notice and contact details to the claimant. Subject to the DMCA and applicable law, removed material may be restored 10–14 business days after receipt of a valid counter-notice unless the claimant notifies us that they filed a court action. This process is not legal advice.

Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances, we terminate access for repeat infringers. We may also remove content or restrict access for other violations of our terms.
